Are you a member of a gym and struggle with what to do?
I see this all the time, and it absolutely kills me when i see people wandering around aimlessly in the gym, if this is you i want to help you out
Struggle no more, here is a basic gym workout that you can try next time you go
Give this a bash and let us know how you get on
This is a gym based workout so you will need access to some cardio kit and some resistance machines
Start your workout with a good warm up consisting of some mobility and stretching which will help to prevent any injuries
Workout as follows
SECTION A:
20 minutes interval training using your favourite piece of cardio kit eg bike, rower, treadmill or cross-trainer
In this example we are going to use a Tread mill
Run for a minute and then walk for a minute
repeat for a total of 20 minutes before moving onto the weights
Next you are going to complete a weights circuit for 2 rounds of the following exercises and repetitions
SECTION B
B1. Chest press – 20 reps
B2. Seated row – 20 reps
B3. Shoulder press – 20 reps
B4. Bicep curl – 20 reps
B5. Tricep press – 20 reps
Complete the above exercises one after the other twice through
SECTION C
C1. 10 minutes of moderate intensity cardio of your choice
SECTION D is a repeat of section B
D1. Chest press – 20 reps
D2. Seated row – 20 reps
D3. Shoulder press – 20 reps
D4. Bicep curl – 20 reps
D5. Tricep press – 20 reps
Repeat the above exercises twice through
FINALLY, complete your workout with a cool down and some stretches
