Do you like movies?
How about books?
I never used to read any books if i am honest, and i very rarely watched tv that much either
That changed on both fronts a few years ago
I started reading books when a business mentor gave me a recommended reading list
And i started watching more tv about 2 years ago when i was home bound for 9 months after my Achilles operation – Netflix was a god send during my recovery
Anyway one of the recommended books was called ‘The Secret’
I tried reading this on a few occasions but, it just wasn’t sinking in
Then a friend of mine suggested i watch the film movie as it would be much easier to digest, and she was right
The reason i wanted to share this with you is because it was one of the first times that i had ever had my eyes opened to mindset and mental health
These days mindset and mental health is big news
Maybe you or somebody you know suffers with, anxiety, depression, stress etc, maybe this will help
Its important to work on your mental health as much as it is to work on your body and fitness
9 times out of 10 when i am speaking to clients in the gym that are struggling to achieve their goals its because of their mindset and how they react to life and situations, emotions and stress etc
One thing i always suggest is to spend 10 minutes per day reading a self development book, or watching a youtube video, listening to a podcast or reading some positive inspiring quotes
It might sound like nonsense and come across al tree huggy but i am serious
If you can take 10 minutes out of your day to clear your mind of the day to day stresses and input some inspiring positive information it can really help
What you decide to watch or read is completely up to you and how you currently feel at that moment
You might learn about how to fix your diet
How to fix your finances
How to overcome illness
How to overcome anxiety
How to succeed in your job
How to become more confident
How to create a secondary income from home etc etc
If you spend a minimum of 10 minutes a day up to 60 minutes, longer if you can on improving your mindset and educating yourself on topics that are important to you i guarantee your life will change
It might not change immediately, just like fitness, health and wealth, thats stuff takes time but if you keep on working at it you will make strides and improve over time
